Our Class Wish List

1.    Paperback copies of Gary Paulsen’s Hatchet (period 1 and 3).*

2.    The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain.*

3.    Any new or used juvenile literature.  Yard sales and library sales are the sources of dozens of the books already available in our class library.  We could always use some new titles, so keep your eyes peeled for deals!

4.    We can always use wide-ruled paper.

5.    Number 2 pencils.

6.    Tissues.

7.    Arizona’s new Wellness law restricts the kinds of snacks that can be shared (by me) in the classroom.  I’ll post a list of approved items (water, juice, fruit, etc.) as soon as I can get clarification.  Added sugar and fat are no-no’s.

8.    Want to help?  Send me a note with your idea, or let me know if I can “count on you” for something in the future.

*  We have copies of these books – and all the other books I will assign -- for the students, but the more copies we have, the more flexibility we have in allowing students to take the books home and read them there.  If you are able to purchase a copy of a book we’re reading, or if you already own a copy and could loan it to your student, it would be a great help.

Thanks!!!
