The Madison #1 Library Media Center offers advanced technology as well as the best in children's literature to our students and teachers. Students and teachers have access to a fully automated library system with computers for online catalog searching as well as for Internet research. Our PTO funds the site license for EBSCO Middle Search Plus, a magazine index and reference source on the World Wild Web, which can be used at school and at home. In addition, our library contains nearly 13,000 books selected to support our district curriculum as well as to offer the highest quality literature to our students.

Our LMC has an open, flexible schedule which allows students and teachers access to our resources throughout the school day. Classes, small groups, and individuals find Madison #1 Library Media Center a valuable tool for their school work as well as for pursuing personal interests and hobbies.

Reading events throughout the year include storytelling, visits from popular authors, and book fairs which provide discounted or free books to students. Reading celebrations such as Childrens Book Week, Poetry Month, National Library Week and Teen Read Week promote the value and pleasure of reading. Our Friends Of The Library program provides additional resources to our media center through book donations by our parents and community.
